ARRL Field Day with K1WAS

 

Be a part of the most popular on-the-air operating event in amateur radio. Join your friends at the Westport Observatory’s Amateur Radio Club K1WAS and get in on the action!

Our friends from HARC, GNARC, and FARA, Ham radio operators from Southern Connecticut, and all over America will be participating in a national emergency communication exercise on Saturday through Sunday, June 22 and 23rd.
The event is ARRL Field Day, an annual amateur radio activity organized since 1933 by ARRL, The National Association for Amateur Radio in the United States. Hams from across North America ordinarily participate in Field Day by establishing temporary ham radio stations in public locations to demonstrate their skill and service. Their use of radio signals, which reach beyond borders, brings people together while providing essential communication in the service of communities.
